Here is a picture of some of the batteries. We are using LiPo cells from Kokam, as far as we know the best there is. Our custom made BMS system makes sure that each cell is charged to 100%, and also has a safety system that cuts the power is any cell gets too warm or is being discharged under a certain level. Each cell has sensors for voltage and temperature, and each battery pack has a programmable BMS box. Pretty high-tech :-)

Here we go again!
Finally, we are on the track again. We have had a lot of problems getting the batteries and BMS (Battery Management System) parts. Our great supplier Celltech has helped us a lot with this, and we now have a battery system that we believe is perfect for the bike. The housing for the batteries is being developed and built by KP Metallform in Höganäs. We plan to do our first test run in the end of next week. This is much later than the original plan, but we still feel there is time enough to develop and optimize the bike. Our controller has a lot of settings and besides from motor specific parameters like ramp-up and regenerative breaking, there is also important stuff like thermal protection and emergency switches. We have spent a lot of time investigating what can be done to have the bike as safe as possible.
